It has been passed down
since generations
that secreting fluids through working out
is a sign of strength,
hard work even;
And yet when one weeps,
silently sobs:
into the pillows of your fort,
when your pride is hurt,
in the night time
or the day,
even when they leave,

even when they stay-
it is considered shameful,

a sign of weakness,
a show of your bleakness.
When you cry into your hands,
you are not less of a man.
When you cry into your hands,
you are not an attention seeking woman.
When you cry into your hands,
you are conditioned to think that.
It is a trait we have confused
with sadness,
misinterpreted with chaos.
An emotion that has
started to symbolize
as a build up
to the end.
It must be understood that
crying,
was never a sign of death;
Since the very beginning,
it has always signified,
that you are, after everything,
alive.
